# Optionally pass billingAddress when creating a checkout

When creating a checkout, allow optionally passing a `billingAddress` like on the `PATCH /subscriptions/<id>` endpoint.

This is live. `POST /checkouts` accepts an optional `billingAddress` that pre-fills the billing fields on the hosted checkout, and the customer can still edit them. A supplied `country` takes precedence over the customer's IP for determining their country. A supplied `taxId` is only a pre-fill and is registered once the customer submits the checkout.
